Curriculum

Through our education program, students will acquire the abilities for proposing original creative ideas, for solving problems by themselves from wide viewpoints, and for taking leadership in different fields.

Curriculum

1st grade (Freshman) students take the fundamental courses at Hiyoshi Campus under a gate system, in which first-year students do not enter a specific department, but study five broadly defined specialized disciplines.
2nd grade (Sophomore) students continue learning fundamental chemistry at Hiyoshi Campus.
3rd grade (Junior) students enroll in fundamental chemistry and in advanced chemistry courses at Yagami Campus: Materials Design, Environmental Technologies, Organic Science, and Bioscience.
4th grade (Senior) students work on their graduation research, which is the most important subject in the Department of Applied Chemistry.
Approximately 80% of the students continue their education with advanced research activities in the graduate school.
